LUTLY DIVE

How it works.

Four steps from the card in your camera to a finished clip on your phone.

[ 01 ] — The steps

Bring in a dive. Export a dive.

01 / BRING IN A DIVEMany clips at once

Import the clips from one dive in a single go. They sit in a tray on the phone, in order.

02 / IT READS EACH CLIPCamera and water

The app reads the file to find the camera, then reads the picture to work out the depth and the water. It does this per clip.

03 / IT PICKS THE FIXNo choices needed

It picks the right filter and strength on its own. You can move it by hand if you want something different.

04 / YOU EXPORTA finished video

Save the finished clips to your camera roll. Your originals are left untouched.

[ 02 ] — Cameras

What it reads.

The same camera list the browser tool uses. If your camera is not here, the clip still works, it is read as standard footage.

Any other cameraSTANDARD REC.709, HLG HDRTreats the clip as standard Rec.709, or as HLG if you pick it. Use this when the camera is not in the list.
Apple iPhoneSTANDARD (HDR OFF), HDR (DOLBY VISION / HLG), APPLE LOGReads the file for an Apple Log or HDR tag, decodes it back to a normal range, then grades on top.
SonySTANDARD, S-LOG3 / S-GAMUT3.CINE, HLGDecodes S-Log3 with the S-Gamut3.Cine primaries before the look goes on, so blacks hold and skin stays put.

[ FAQ ]

Frequently asked.

Does it change my original files?

No. The clips in your camera roll are left alone. The app writes a new file when you export.

How long does a clip take?

A short clip is done in about the time it takes to watch it. Longer clips take longer, and the phone does the work while you wait.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Everything runs on the phone, so it works on a boat with no signal.

What happens with a mixed batch from two cameras?

Each clip is read on its own, so a GoPro clip and a Sony clip in the same tray each get the right treatment.

Can I adjust it by hand?

Yes. The app picks a starting point for you and you can move it if you want a different result.

What does it export?

A normal video file you can save to your camera roll or send straight into an edit.

Do I have to pick my camera?

No. The app reads the file and works it out. You can override it if the file is unusual.
